Before moving to Texas, I owned a licensed in-home daycare. Those fun-filled days were spent playing games, doing art projects, reading books, and learning in exciting and engaging ways. Within the last decade I have been a Sunday school teacher, a substitute teacher both in general education and special education for grades pre-k through 5th, a nanny for single babies and well as for multiples (twins, triplets), and a babysitter for many parents who were able to sneak away for much needed date nights. I am passionate about child development and especially love creating unique approaches based on each individual child’s needs and interests. Because of my abundant experience working with groups of children I am able to help with sibling groups, large or small. It is my top priority to keep children safe, and my goal to provide an emotionally safe space for children as well. When it comes to welcoming a new baby into the family, the older siblings may have many questions which I am confident I can answer in age appropriate ways.
I am currently pursuing a Certified Professional Midwife certification through the North American Registry of Midwives Portfolio Evaluation Process (PEP) and am a full time apprentice at a local birthing center.
